1588/90 - Players of flute and violone

The painting, which adorns a field of fake open gallery under the ceiling, was put in relation with the frescoes of the Villa Maser.

The wooden transverse flute is played by a man.

The violone is recognizable both for the size of the instrument, both for the bow held in the hand by the woman who plays it.
