Amati Andrea II

  • There is evidence of his presence only through some documents of the archive of the Saints Faustino and Giovita parish. He was registered as a luthier, that is why scholars often thought that these documents referred to Andrea Amati I, believing that he was still working in 1610-11. The discovery of the document proving that Andrea I was buried in 1577 solved the issue. The fact that Andrea II lived near Saint Faustino parish suggests his relationship with the famous family, but there is no evidence of that. His instruments are unknown.
  • There are evidences of his presence in 1610-1611
