1500/1600 - Frescoes in the church of S. Sigismondo in Cremona

During the 16th century, the Cremonese painters worked in the church commissioned by the Dukes of Milan to commemorate the marriage of Francesco Sforza and Bianca Maria Visconti, which took place at the church of this abbey on 25 October 1441. In the frescoes of various authors who decorate the walls entirely a great variety of musical instruments are represented in the church.
