Antonio Bresciani, Piacenza 1720 - 1817

1768 - Musical angels

4-string bass viola: perhaps it should have been a cello, but the body is roughly drawn and shows two sound holes of a strange clip shape on the board. The bridge is also of an unusual shape. The scrolled anklet ends in an exaggerated sickle shape. The player's left hand is drawn in an unnatural position which makes the keyboard appear to pass through it.

Violin: it is seen from below and has an approximate shape.

Tambourine: the instrument is designed with precision and has small cymbals inserted in the band, but the hand holding it passes through the band.
