1617 - Viola

The front is two-piece of spruce of medium grain, with later wings in the lower and upper bouts. The back is two-piece of maple of medium to broad curl descending from the joint, with four later wings in the upper and lower bouts. The ribs of maple of medium curl are later. The scroll is of plain maple. The varnish is golden-brown.
