The belly is of spruce of narrow grain in the center, opening to the flanks. The back is one-piece of maple of horizontal medium to broad curl, cut on the slab. The lower rib is one-piece of maple of broad but faint curl; the others are of maple of small to medium curl. The scroll is maple is of small curl. The varnish is golden-brown.
