1645 - Violin

Soundboard at medium or narrow grain. Back of curly maple with narrow curl that forms at the top of a slight herringbone with vertex at the bottom and, at the bottom, with vertex at the top. Ribs and scroll of wood similar to that of the back. Reddish-brown vernish.
