1656 - Violin

The top is of spruce of medium grain, widening to the flanks. The back is one-piece of maple of medium curl, with two inserts in the lower bouts. The ribs are of wood similar to back. The scroll is of plain maple cut on the slab. The varnish is orange-brown.
