1660/70 - Violin "Admiral Buckle"

Soundboard of spruce at fine grain that widens at the flanks. Back of two pieces of curly maple with narrow curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the bottom. Ribs of wood similar to that of the bottom. Scroll of curly maple with a faint medium curl. Golden brown varnish.
