1667 - Violin "Thompson - Jenkins"

Soundboard of spruce to narrow grain, which widens towards the flanks. Back of one-piece of curly maple cut on the slab and of broad curl, slightly sloping to the right, with a knot near the beak of the upper left and signs of root at the top and bottom. Ribs of curly maple cut on the quarter of medium curl. Neck original modernized, with a scroll of curly maple at irregular curl from medium to large. Golden-brown varnish on a golden background.
