  • Hammig (1914) has dated the instrument to 1680 c., denouncing the scroll not original; Hamma (1917) has dated the instrument to 1670-72 and declared the scroll not original; Français (1957) recognized the scroll not original; Machold (2006) attributed the back and sides to Nicolo Amati and scroll to an unidentified Italian violin maker of the 18th century.
