1685 c. - Violin "Gagliano"

Soundboard of spruce at narrow vein, which widens towards the flanks, attributed to Alessandro Gagliano (c. 1700 - Biddulph). Back of one piece of curly maple cut on the slab and of faint medium-fine curl discontinuous and prevalently horizontal. Ribs curly maple cut on quarter and at medium-narrow curl. Scroll not original. Golden-brown varnish.
