1689/1717 - Small violin

Soundboard of small grain. Back of two pieces of curly maple, with narrow curl and tangential cut, glued to slight herringbone with apex at the top. Ribs of wood similar to that of the bottom. Scroll of maple less marbled. Reddish-brown varnish.
