1694 - Violin "Benecke"

Soundboard of spruce to vein very narrow, which widens towards the hips. Back of two pieces of curly maple with narrow curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the top. Ribs and scroll of wood similar to that of the fund. Plum red varnish.
