1709 - Violin "Mendelssohn"

- Stolen in 1958; the theft was reported by Deutsche Bank in Berlin. In 2018, Carla Shapreau, an art law expert and director of the Lost Music Project, identified the instrument during an exhibition in Tokyo as the instrument renamed "Stella" and dated 1707, currently owned by violinist Eijin Nimura, who claims its rightful ownership.
