1717 - Violin "Reiffenberg"

Soundboard of spruce to medium grain. Back of two pieces of curly maple to medium curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the top. Ribs and scroll of wood similar to that of the back. Reddish varnish on a golden ground.
