1723 - Violin

Soundboard of spruce at large vein. Back of two pieces of curly maple with narrow curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with vertex at the top; the left side replaced at a later date. Neck original modernized. Ribs and scroll of wood similar to that of the back. Light golden-brown varnish.
