Spruce soundboard to adjust vein that widens at the flanks. Back of two pieces of curly maple tomedium-large curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with vertex at the top. Ribs of wood similar to that of the back. Scroll maybe not original, attributed to Giuseppe Giovanni Battista Guarneri. Red intense varnish.
