1734 - Violin

Soundboard of spruce with narrow grain at the center that widens at the flanks. Back of curly maple at medium irregular curl, glued to slight herringbone with vertex at the top. Ribs of wood similar to that of the back. Scroll of curly maple to curl less pronounced than that of the back. Orange-brown varnish.
