1736 - Violin

Soundboard of spruce grain, media in center that widens at the flanks. Back of two pieces of curly maple cut on the slab with narrow curl, glued to slight herringbone with apex at the bottom. Ribs of almost plain maple, cut on the quarter. Scroll later, perhaps French. Reddish-brown varnish.
