1768 - Violin

Soundboard of spruce with narrow grain at the center that widens at the flanks. Back of two pieces of curly maple with a faint nedium curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with vertex at the top. Ribs of wood similar to that of the back. Head smooth maple. Golden-brown varnish.
