1778 - Cello

Soundboard of spruce grain from medium to large. Back of two pieces of curly maple with a faint narrow curl, glued in a herringbone pattern with apex at the top, but ascending near the flanks. Ribs of wood similar to that of the back. Golden-orange varnish.
