1789 - Violin

Soundboard of spruce from medium to narrow grain. Back of two pieces of curly maple with narrow curl, glued to lightweight herringbone with apex at the top. Upper and lower ribs of wood similar to that of the back, center sections of curly maple with medium curl. Scroll of curly maple with narrow curl. Light golden brown varnish.
