1697 - Viola "Primrose, Lord Harrington"

Soundboard of spruce with large vein in the middle which narrows and then widens again towards the flanks. Back of one piece of maple cut on the slab with veins obvious and a knot at the top, with the original four additions in the lobes. Ribs curly maple cut on the slab with medium-narrow wavy curl. Scroll original of curly maple cut on the quarter with medium-narrow wavy curl. Golden-orange varnish.
