1650 (ante) - Violin

Soundboard in two pieces of fir tapped, with accentuated cambering with subsidence under the bridge and coves is profound. The palette of effe are very short. Part of the edge of the lobe of the left lower lobe seems redone. Has many cracks: one on the edge of the left upper lobe, five to that of the left lower lobe, two on one lower right lobe, two on the right lower lobe and two in the bottom of the C right. Back of two pieces of curly maple with little evident curl, with prominent bulges typical of Amati. It has a crack at the top edge of the left upper lobe and two in that of the left lower lobe. Nose redone. The ribs are of the same wood of the back and have some crack in the left lower lobe and C left. Remaining original brown and cracked varnish. The peg of the string "La" seems authentic.
