Soundboard of spruce of medium grain. Back of two pieces of poplar cut on the slab to faint broad curl in a herringbone pattern with apex at the bottom, with two original wings in the lower lobes and the tapped hole in the center. Ribs of plain poplar cut on the slab. Scroll of plain maple. Dark orange varnish.
